LinkedIn sucks, obviously, but it's extra crappy now. They've started sending these stupid "missed notifications" push notifs EVERY HOUR. I cannot figure out how to stop them except to block all LI notifs. Engagement at any cost, including raw outrage, I guess.

Bob Sullentrop for Minneapolis City Council, Ward 8. I am Bob Sullentrop, and I am running for Minneapolis City Council. I moved to Minneapolis when I was in grade school and have spent most of my life here. I served honorably in the U.S. Marine Corps and am a Vietnam veteran who served in-country. I graduated from the University of Minnesota with a B.S. degree in civil engineering and was employed by the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency for 6 years and have worked for several engineering firms over the years in various capacities. I retired at the end of 2023, but am still active in politics and have supported many candidates over the years and have run for the Minneapolis Park Board, the 8th Ward City Council twice and I ran for the Minnesota House in district 62B in the last election. Bob is very concerned about the number of candidates running in the Minneapolis election this year who are Democratic Socialists. These include Soren Stevenson who is the endorsed Democratic candidate for the City Council in the 8th Ward and Omar Fateh who is running for Mayor. Omar Fateh is currently also the elected State Senator in Senate District 62. It is Bob's understanding that Democratic Socialists are extremely radical Democrats and at least some of them are indistinguishable from communists. New York City's leading candidate for mayor in their upcoming election is a Democratic Socialist and he wants to do away with private ownership of property, the police, and prisons. Should Democratic Socialists win the majority of the City Council and the Mayor's office we could expect that they would want to defund the police and raise the amount for a petty theft to over $1000 and then make it a misdemeanor. Underage offenders who commit crimes up to murder would get a slap on the wrist and sent to counseling. We could also start experiencing the type of lawlessness that Washington D.C. was experiencing before the National Guard was sent in. Bob has teamed up this year with Laverne Turner, who is running for mayor. .Bob teamed up with Laverne in the last mayoral election, as well. Laverne's major issue is reducing crime. If you are interested in returning Minneapolis to a law abiding well-run city where you don't have to worry about being a crime victim, then vote for Bob Sullentrop for City Council and Laverne Turner for Mayor in the upcoming election.

Happy thing for the day: picked 2 handfuls of strawberries from the garden, which is still going strong. It's impossible to feel anything other than beyond blessed.
A bunch of perfecrly ripe strawberries gathered in the bright plaid fabric of my dress because I ran out of hands to carry and pick them.

Woke up too early and baked some feelings this morning. Cherry, cranberry, raisin, and pecan scones with maple glaze.
Golden brown scones with a lightly melty coating of glaze and little studs of dried fruit and nuts sit on a wire cooling rack.
