Microsoft has withdrawn their DMCA claim! The game is back up on Steam! Allumeria is back! Thank you EVERYONE for your support. It's hard to comprehend that a single post in my discord would lead to so many people expressing support. Thank you <3 #gamedev #indiedev

Damn.

Discord's doing global age verification next month, Allumeria got a false DMCA, the usual everyday crap, ice and snow is still everywhere. I had to step out for a bit to clear my mind and all that (despite the snow.) My expectations for 2026 were not too high, but come on man.

I don't use Adobe Animate for the animations I make, but knowing that Adobe is deciding to shut it down so they can pursue more AI crap while so many people relied on it just further lowers my opinion of Adobe.

Snowy as hell (if it froze over) out there. Walking to Wendy's to get some food felt like traversing the Mountains of Moria or something.

Just a heads up:

Similar to the other site, I'll be limiting how often I'm on here to Tuesdays. This will go into effect after Tuesday of this week. I'm trying to implement more limits like this so I can funnel time into more constructive stuff and get less sucked into doomscrolling or whatever.

Watched the Doctor Who TV Movie for the first time last night. It's kind of weird, but it's an interesting look into what could have been I guess. Some aspects of it kind of feel like prototypes to the Ninth Doctor era, particularly the soundtrack and how the characters are written.

This popped up when I got on today and I thought it said "Show where you live" at first.

"Trending phrase" systems don't seem to be completely useful since there are times when I click on a phrase that appears to be trending for some reason to see what's going on and I end up with no real answers. So people just collectively wanted to talk about something with no motivating factor?

Bit late, but here's Episode 5 of Roasted Meatloaf, a New Year's special. The year is still new enough, no?

(And I know the captions will probably be out of sync so I'm not going to reply to my own post complaining about it again.)

Watched Star Trek 09 for the first time. Not entirely sure if it's a "good movie" in the context of the larger Star Trek franchise (I gotta watch more Star Trek in general) but I did find it decently enjoyable. I'll likely watch the next two Kelvin films soon.

Episode 4 of Roasted Meatloaf, a Christmas special. Got here a bit late, but depending on who you ask it's still considered the Christmas season so I guess it works out.

Merry Christmas and other holidays, Bluesky!

There was something I wanted to post today, but it might have to wait until tomorrow. In any case, I just wanted to give people some holiday greetings.

Urinals are such a stupid concept. Like, why did someone decide we needed a toilet that only allows one form of waste and only accepts it in a specific way? Also, why is there not a complete stall? Why would I have to let people watch me urinate, even if my back is turned to them?

Wawa Turkey Gobbler is decent.

Royalty-free version of Episode 3, made as a fall-back in case of copyright issues.

Episode 3 of Roasted Meatloaf, a Thanksgiving special. A character I made named Jeff makes his first appearance in the series here.

I find it a bit weird that most of the Sonic the Hedgehog cast has gender-neutral names which wouldn't really need to be changed in a gender-bent universe, but Amy is one of the few exceptions, so she'd have to be changed to Ahmed or Jamie or something.

I don't like Cuomo and hope he doesn't win, and I don't even live in New York so I can't really endorse anyone there anyways, but I think if he somehow wins it would basically confirm that the "two-party" system was actually about nepotism all along or something like that.

Why does everyone want to be a storytime animator all of a sudden? I thought storytime animation died because everyone except JaidenAnimations became washed up, got cancelled, or sold out. Or I dunno, that's what a video essay or something told me.

I don't care too much really. Do what you want.

Bit late, but here's Roasted Meatloaf Episode 2, a Halloween special (originally created in 2019, this version made in 2025)

I kinda dislike it when I'm asked to do a multi-step project for college but several requirements are not mentioned at all until very late in the game. Really pisses me off ngl.

Here's an alternate version of Episode 1 featuring substitutes for the copyrighted music. This version was made for places with stricter copyright rules and also to serve as a fallback in case the main version gets taken down anywhere.

YouTube Poops, whether they're the really good ones, like from Jimmy Davis or DaThings, or the kinda crappy ones that are more or less just Sony Vegas effects compilations, will always be better than today's AI slop. I love YTP more than I can say.
