At least with paper maps, you can see an entire trip and all the alternate routes in detail in one place, then plan the best route for yourself. I find myself inserting lots of midpoint locations to get a route that I want to take not the route an app wants me to take

Same thing happened here, 2002 when eldest brought her newish boyfriend home for Christmas. But I had my little telescope focused on Saturn and said we’ll clean up the mess later. You gotta come out and look at this. Believe it or not, he was not dismayed and they’ve been married 15 years.

I had a friend in first grade with polio- heavy braces and crutches to get around. But, yeah, no prevention then. It's why we lined up to get the vaccine when it became available.
