My husband used to get CDs from the library and painstakingly create personalized CDs for family members. This is a favorite of mine, now stored on my phone.

This advent calendar tree dates from 1983 when I made it with my daughters age 2 and 7 while their dad was working on his dissertation. It’s held up well, although sometimes bits of Velcro need to be re-glued. 🎄

My “liberry” card allows me to take out books from an eight-year-old’s library. It has a barcode and a QR code. And a photo of me on the back.
I took out a Nancy Drew book to read to her.

The woods in eastern Connecticut should not look like this in November. Euonymus alatus (burning bush) among others will be prohibited from sale as of October 1, 2028. In our woods, the damage has already been done.🌱
