Got me an early Crimbo present with the Amazing Yamaguchi Ayane. I know this is from Ninja Gaiden 3 and all but I'm just glad to get an extremely cool DOA girl figure.
Very fun to play with, very intuitive joints, and that stand is great for flying poses and other goofy nonsense.

My new Ayane action figure is on its way, so that got me wanting to try Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor's Edge again.
Funny enough, although I remembered bouncing hard off it, coming back to it ended up feeling good enough to go for the Oops All Girls achievement. Way better experience than I feared.

All the previous Ace Combats are worth checking out. The PS2 ones are peak, while the Japanese version of AC3 is arguably the most fascinating, and all can be emulated.
Beyond AC, PROJECT WINGMAN is the closest you can get in gameplay and feel.
HAWX has the gameplay but not quite the same feel.

Also, "Talisman... We can trust you with this, right?" may be one of the best lines and line reads in the entire series. The game giving you a vote of confidence, a quiet "You've made it this far. You can do this. We believe in you."

Something I love about Glacial Skies is the way it's synced up to the opening cutscene. So if you let it play, the music ramps up and explodes the moment the game gives you control, as if to say "YOU! YOU'RE THE STAR! IT'S SHOW TIME! LET'S GO!"
