He WILL be burned...like his effigy was on my 5th November bonfire here in the UK....

This is the cottage in remote Wales from the front. Oh boy it was basic. Dad had a generator, toilet was a hole in the ground with a little shed over it outside, and our water came from a spring up the track, filtered through several pairs of old stockings. We got snowed in for weeks every winter.

There should be more of this! I wonder if the 85yr old lady who knitted Sandringham had her work entered to Guiness Book of Records? This photo is only a small part of it.

Ah, not black and white after all, but here it is.

Cliff face just outside of Ribeira Brava, Madeira. There are occasional reddish outcrops like this in the volcanic layers that are quite crumbly and interesting. I have collected samples of course, and they grind down easily and will mix, poorly, with water, to paint with or to stain your skin with.

Check sources at source for what's ACTUALLY been said. It makes you look less gullible.

Always wiser to check the actual source, the actual words and the actual questions.

For the hard-of-understanding.

Stop swallowing the Sun's Kool Aid. It's fake news.

Coprolite, or dinosaur poo, lithified of course. Found on a beach Isle of Wight by me. One of my pet rocks.

Here's Buttermere, Lake District, UK, looking towards Haystacks.

Sunset in Ribeira Brava earlier this year after a stormy day. Taken by me.

If you see this, post a bird.

Sorry but he's been sacrificed on my 5th Nov celebratory bonfire in the UK...(his head melted really quickly).

Behold the finished alcove. Only that bit of the ceiling hasn't been done yet. Maps still to be sorted and put on empty shelf. Managed to remove precisely 3 books to give away and some to go upstairs. Found an unused and very pretty hardback notebook I don't remember buying.

When I made my little effigy of him to burn merrily on my bonfire 5th Nov I sewed a big lip on and discussed it with a friend who said he hadn't noticed, but now can't see anything but that when he pops up on our screens! hahahahh

How much press/media coverage did any of this get? Clue: maybe 10% and that's being generous.

I did my bit for justice.
