Stirrer. It's upside down.

It's really rolled taco/taquito, no?

Priorities!

I did a year in a synthetic organic lab. One of the targets was a covalent DNA binder. So there was a need to get DNA, add compound, run gels... The people who did that were "biologists." Later worked with clinical trialists. Anything done in 384-well? Def not "biology."
🙃🤷

it's hard to resist these bundles tho.
Our apple deal includes backup, streaming, music and probably other stuff for like $20/mo.

Amazon is pretty bad, Apple is pretty good.

yeah, pros and cons will have to be weighed for every mutation - and I bet for every patient too.

When I realized this was what's behind this Amazing Novel General therapy, I was sad!

I think the idea is - some normal read-through is ok if it comes alongside read-through that fixes pathogenic stop codon.

Probably don't want 100% suppression for the first and probably only need a small % for the second.

yeah, sheesh!
Kinda sounds like they were estranged enough for him to drop a dime on her.

for which nobody will have to pay any consequence, right?

I wish this picture was taken in a tattoo parlor.

wasn't UC supposed to make their own standardized test if it decided the SAT/ACT were unusable?

Whenever I saw this at Costco, someone was playing it.

... biology if it doesn't have a thinking brain.
November 25, 2025 at 11:20 PM
Hm. Maybe I never worked at a big enough company to see this as anything other than one chemist and one biologist did this thing...

I still grind on the "put compound mixture on cells" as "Biology." But that's surely because I got sneered at by many Biologists. Those Biologists don't think it's...
November 25, 2025 at 11:20 PM
start with that.

Like, was the discovery particularly quick? Cheap?? Extensive??? Easy???

Like...tell me why I should care, not what you did.

"Use of Direct-to-Biology Strategies for the Discovery of..."

This signifies to me that the strategies are what's interesting, not so much what they discovered.

It's been around a long time - well yeah, because it's basically the most obvious thing you can do.

Did it enable something? If so,...
November 25, 2025 at 8:40 PM
It's a term that wants to convey some kind of innovation?

Like - you dumped crude reaction mixture onto some cells. It's (for me!) not special enough to call out in a title and it's not "Biology." It's what chemists (used to?) think biology is.

"direct to biology"
🤦
November 25, 2025 at 5:09 PM
No matter how many targets you pick and compounds you make, there are only so many humans who will participate in trials and those trials are very expensive and time consuming.

If you're a celebrity, you can do anything.
