Rewatched all the Alien movies recently. My ranking: Alien, Aliens, Prometheus, Covenant, Romulus, Resurrection, Dark Star, 3.

Microsoft Places being "AI-Powered" is really fucking stupid.
Shows people I don't have any need to see and seems to ignore when people change their default calendar. Just manual settings would be 100% better. Not at all useful as it exists.

I never know whether a new application sucks or whether my campus IT have restricted every useful functionality so that just our implementation of it sucks.

I started keeping a daily activity log so that I don't forget about all the little ephemeral things. Looking back, I've also got some entries like, "I didn't sleep well" and "I need to be a better person" and "oh look, the slough of despond!"

A real gamble with me. I'd never betray a confidence, but there is 1/3 chance I forget what you told me, 1/3 chance I forget the part about not telling anyone, and 1/3 chance I forget about the conversation altogether.

Ten years ago, if you had a problem with a device, you could search the model number and the problem, find a forum with other people talking about the problem, and often an answer.
Now it is just glossy articles that give nonsensical solutions that don't help.

Started a steel soul run of Silksong... And I died. I think I gotta pass on that option. Loved the game, but I die a LOT in games.

Loving - but still losing at - the Silksong final boss. I consistently get to the final phase - sometimes without even taking a hit before that - and the just dying extremely quickly.
