Petition: Retain legal right to assessment and support in education for children with SEND
Support in education is a vital legal right of children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). We ask the government to commit to maintaining the existing law, so that vulnerable children with SEND can access education and achieve their potential.

OTD 2 years ago (NZtime!) & only 5 days post #BrainTumour removal surgery I was discharged from hospital. I was smiling but scared in this pic as I was going to a mattress on the floor in the nearly empty NZ house all alone as hubbie was still trying to get to NZ from the UK...

OTD in 2023 I was in A&E in Auckland City Hospital about to be told at 3amish by a very nervous young doctor - because at that point I was on my own - that I had a 3cm #BrainTumour & needed emergency surgery with my husband and kids on the other side of the world...

Xmas jumper cookies (for youngest #SEND son's #AP tutors & our elderly neighbours) & cookie tree (eldest #SEND son's annual request) baked & decorated + fondant toppers decorated with choc figures from Sainsbury's ready for cupcakes for eldest son's workplace on Wednesday🎄🧑🎄

Qu re #SEND: what is the point of #SENDIST if all submissions from parents/carers are ignored? I genuinely don't think I can carry this fight on anymore. Becoming resigned to the fact that my youngest #SEND son probably won't get the education he's actually entitled to by law
