"males are genetically hard wired to be attracted to younger women" Males aren't even hardwired to be attracted to women, and hardwired or not, there's still cultural and personal conditioning working in the brain. AND "attracted to" and "willingly getting into a relationship with" are different.
As a female it will give you the ick. Reality is males are genetically hard wired to be attracted to younger women, we can't help it! I'm in my 50's & been happily married 20 years to my wife of the same age, but if she wasn't around anymore (God forbid), I'd not be looking to date 50+ year olds!

"Relationships are work, but they shouldn’t feel hard or like a chore. They should feel like curious exploration."

I love this bit of insight from Ali's latest newsletter!

This is a great example of why generative AI is useless for anything besides draining enormous amounts of resources. And I laughed so hard, I hurt myself. Good luck with your many children, cats, dogs, spiders, and religions, @chuckwendig.bsky.social!

Vital Cat Update
It’s time to talk about my cat. To which you might be saying, “Chuck, I didn’t know you had a cat!” and I’d respond with, “I didn’t know I had a cat either…

Could we manifest a better future if we all started changing our last names to things like Cosmo, Orbit, Spacely, Moonstone, and Nova?

Having a really bad brain day. Please send hugs and forehead kisses. And tell me I'm cute. Or whatever.

Hoping medication and meditation will get me through the day okay.
Had a violent nightmare last night and I'm still unsettled and sad from it. THANKS, SUBCONSCIOUS.

America is a country that will test UBI hundreds of times, get the same radically positive results each time, and still look at it askance, but will also put untested robotaxis on the road because a billionaire threw a shit fit.
An Oregon pilot program giving cash to homeless youths sees a staggering reduction in homelessness. The program gave participants $1,000 cash payments each month for two years, and at the end of the project's first phase, 91% of participants reported being in stable housing.

Me in college: angsty because my type was "women who like me as a friend but don't want to date me."

Me now: content that my type is "women who like me as a friend but don't want to date me."

It's utterly beyond me why no one does this.
This nation would be a better place if just one White House reporter had the courage to ask "what the hell are you rambling about, old man?"
