Their high free-throw-attempt rate stems primarily from the elite foul drawing of three players: Paolo Banchero, Franz Wagner and Wendell Carter Jr. They were elite in drawing fouls last season, when the team played slow, and they are more elite this season. Banchero can draw fouls at any pace.

A "Kornet contest" is a legitimate defensive technique, so, no, that has nothing to do with the Wizards' rotation.
