Yas queen! Names that fit the setting is a perfect way to let your readers get a feel for the time period or culture surrounding the story. For the persona have you ever thought of giving them the opposite? I find it fun to name hard characters soft names or serious characters with whimsical ones

Sometimes it can matter, for me unless it has plot important I pick whatever name I think suits the character best or even a sillier name that'll attract the readers attention. In my latest work I have a character who refuses to give their name and one that's named after a song I like
