4, cont. I enjoyed NTTD's Norway car chase scene because he dodged a few cars, managed to get into a better position, then the second half of the scene was a unique foggy forest fight. that's how you make it interesting.

4. figure out a way to wrap up the car chases faster. car chases are fun, I don't hate them, but they're very one dimensional as action scenes. in a gun fight, bond could end up kidnapped, shot, there could be hostages. you know that a car chase scene ends with them leaving the car.

...3, cont. violence begetting violence is a theme they should keep using that adds a lot of depth to a character/story where generally, in the present moment, Bond is fully justified in doling out the violence.

3. one thing that Skyfall and NTTD did very well is expound on the idea that Bond lives in a world of killers, and that world affects the people who are also caught in it that aren't directly related to Bond. Violence begetting trauma and more violence is a powerful and resuable theme they should...

...2, cont. that's what a long standing relationship as a special operative should do to a character. there have to be constraints on their life to make it interesting for how they progress from one action scene to the next

2. New Bond should take some notes from Mission Impossible with regards to how enemies & govt agencies treat him and recognize him. in the recent MI, Hunt had to disguise himself as another govt official and sleep-gas a secure Pentagon office just to talk to the right person. that's what a long ..

1. I would really love to see more depth from secret societies & villains, with actual screen time dedicated to their actions. in all the CBFs, Bond just showed up to the secret meetings, or the solo villains were blowing things up while off screen, or their screentime was only for framing

hi everyone, I wrote a new thing. I briefly propose & explore the potential for a "bounty" model for news & digital media and how it relates to news, paywalls, subscriptions AI, PIVOT TO WIKI, and more. let me know what you think, unless you think it's really bad, then don't say anything.
the bounty model - pivot point mini-wiki - Obsidian Publish
this page proposes a new financial model for information sources. as i see it, this new model makes the most sense when applied to wiki formats or scientific journals, and less so when applied to bre…

maybe not every journo is as unethical. but the attention economy that directs all media dollars towards people like nuzzi is the same one that has eaten local news, it's the same one that powers social media, it's the same one that feeds all other journos. there is another way!
November 27, 2025 at 3:53 PM
maybe every journo today makes a genuine apology or stands out to demand action against Nuzzi-ing. but tomorrow, they're still competing to sell clicks & subs. follow the incentives!

not to toot my own horn here but I'd like to suggest that no matter the behavior of other reporters, it is going to take a fundamental shift in the actual format of our info env to make a difference
bsky.app/profile/jort...
to briefly elaborate: trust is down, social media & headline-based news don't do anything to restore trust, but (optionally community-based) static info sites (wiki) are broadly trusted (wikipedia). we can restore trust in media and each other by demanding, as consumers, our information in wiki form

I'm imagining a super Alexa that's running 10 dormant inference threads where each user (family member) has multiple that are custom to multiple rooms of the house or other profiles. A box that knows all your family photos and documents and finances, has everything indexed and pulls it up on demand
