Thrilled to have spent time with our friends at the U.S. Embassy and the Nuclear Industry Association, along with so many U.K. government officials who generously shared their time and expertise with us.

Trip of a lifetime traveling to the U.K. for the Nuclear Energy Institute’s trade mission. Couldn’t imagine getting to do anything this cool while supporting and celebrating the important work my colleagues and our U.K. partners are doing to bring more gigawatts of clean energy online. ⚛️

3/ Thus, I committed to folding a paper crane for every day of this second Trump Presidency. To create a small piece of art in the midst of all this ugly destruction. To spend the time folding meditating on things we might still hope for and peace for those who need it.

2/ I have always been touched by what they represent: peace and hope. I have been honored to speak with Hibakusha (survivors of Hiroshima/Nagasaki) and am heartened by their sustained optimism for a better world.

1/ I learned how to fold paper cranes in 4th grade when my class read "Sadako and the Thousand Paper Cranes." I had no idea then that I would spend so much of my career working on both sides of the nuclear field--weapons and energy.
