In the early 1930s the SA was roughing people up, creating chaos in neighborhoods, seeking to terrorize with the occasional killing. By the late 1930s it had been supplanted by the SS, which was much better trained.
Also, may I say that I don’t agree with people saying ICE and CBP need “more training.” They’re doing exactly what this administration has trained them to—impose a reign of fear in blue cities. They don’t need more training. They need to be ripped up root and branch.

love living in a country where if a bunch of guys in gas station sunglasses and tactical athleisure throw you in an unmarked van you’re supposed to just hope it’s ICE because if you fight back it’s “resisting arrest” and now you’ve legally given them permission to shoot you in the head.
BREAKING: A few minutes ago, a vehicle of three people was rammed by a truck belonging to federal immigration authorities in Boyle Heights, CA. According to security footage shown to me, they deployed chemical munitions & detained the driver at gunpoint. All are US citizens according to the wife.

It's WILD how explaining my work history prompts almost everyone to say they have a cousin/sister/whatever that also is a film craftsperson also now looking for a new career. I knew it was bad but you only see your little corner of it so it's hard to grasp the scope of a whole industry collapsing
