Who knows what will come from this shooting in D.C. with regards to public discourse, but, it's worth remembering that there will be different narratives competing for your support and it's okay to closely scrutinize public officials.

Obviously it's a different time, different circumstances and arguably there are already kinetic military actions happening, but that's all to say that that doesn't necessarily mean there will be land strikes on Venezuela.

Trump himself has done this, famously to universally poor results.

You may remember the "little rocket man" maximum pressure campaign when the U.S. had postured 3 Carrier Strike Groups in the Pacific to pressure Kim Jong Un into giving up his nuclear ambitions.

Still plenty of U.S. hardware openly operating in the area. As for the B-52 flyby of Caracas earlier, the Trump regime has in the past revealed more details about this kind of operation. Hoping we will see the same with this.

This Rubio 28-point Russian plan debacle is getting WILD.

Barak Ravid on X: "Second senior U.S. official tells me: "It's a U.S. plan. Rubio has been read in every step of the way"

It appears that the FAA is combining reported GPS jamming, mass mobilization and intelligence gathered on Venezuelan air defense to conclude the potential for a miscalculation high enough to warrant a warning to civil aviators.

Yesterday The War Zone (TWZ) reported the U.S. was testing Venezuela's air defense and today, we get a new advisory from the FAA specifically mentioning anti-aircraft artillery and MANPADS (man-portable air defense systems).

Here is the Background Information Notice / advisory as reference in the NOTAM.

Some interesting stuff to dig into here:

Here is the main text of the NOTAM and I've highlighted the reasoning "DUE TO THE WORSENING SECURITY
SITUATION AND HEIGHTENED MILITARY ACTIVITY IN OR AROUND VENEZUELA."
