Yarn, cats, books, etc.
We feed our cats Blue Diamond Wilderness dry food. I don't know how much is luck or genetics vs. good quality food, but our last cat lived to 21 and was pretty healthy and spry right up to the end - hope we get just as much time with Amos!

I know exactly what newly released popular pattern you are talking about because I had the same thought! The stripes match across both sleeves and the body... That's not scrappy use-what-you-got spontaneity, that takes serious planning!

It took a little longer than a single day, but the koroks are finished! This pattern, while thorough, was a doozy and I will happily never make another. Now back to my winter activity of leveling alts in WoW...

A little late but almost relevant, my tiger/kitten/fairy/yarn tattoo! This tattoo makes me so happy every time I see it (stupid winter requiring stupid long sleeves) and really lets everyone know I have a weird obsession with cats and yarn.

Ugh, yarn bleeding is so frustrating! But the pink and purple are so cute together that no one will guess they weren't supposed to be that color combo to begin with. 💜

I get it, cat-kind has a reputation of dignity and refinement to uphold, and wearing a pumpkin hat could be seen as a serious setback in that regard. I hope the good Admiral can accept my apology for subjecting his brethren to such disrespect!

Agreed, it's very far outside my usual pallette, but it's bringing joy! 🌈

4 days of progress! I did a bit more after this and even though there's still room on the arms, I'm definitely feeling the extra weight, so it might be time to take off the cop and start again.

I think I would prefer a lighter spindle as well! I have another one that is about 28g, but it has a bit of a wobble (although I recently read some tips that might help). Still, this yarn is turning out quite serviceable, and I'll try for something thinner/lighter next time!

I did accidentally end up spinning it on the floor a few times, but even that needs work so I don't let the arms touch the floor. I'm sure with practice it will all get easier, and if not, I'll have to go shopping for a lighter spindle - not something I particularly mind!
