We had stuff in the pipeline when it passed but the number of actual units crashed real hard in Portland once unfunded IZ kicked in but not across the river. Showing number of projects didn't change much but total units did really drive home how much unfunded IZ cost us.

This is the most bizarre complaint for one #Portland city council member to make about another. Literally, 91% of your job is to "nitpick" the proposals of your other councilmember. That is the whole point of a legislature! Even good ideas in theory need to be very carefully reviewed for problems.

Us census data for homeownership rate in swing state is around 70%. Add to that home owners turnout at a much higher rate than renters nlihc.org/resource/new...

I live in the geographic center of #Portland and within 300 yards of my house it is pie store, corner store, fancy cheese shop, book store late night cookie shop. Of course none of it with plywood.

Marriage equality it a classic example of something that went from a clear leftist position supported by very few left wing politicians to now supported by the majority of people and politicians. What positions are left wing or supported by centrists shift with time.
