A chapter in Hegseth’s book is literally titled “More Lethality, Less Lawyers.”

It’s almost as if there were signs!

WHOA. Trump says he will pardon Juan Orlando Hernandez, who once said that he wanted to “shove the drugs right up the noses of the gringos.” He had people killed as part of his narco-trafficking ring, which he at times operated directly out of his presidential office.

This is illegal and of course invalidates every Pardon Trump gave to the Jan 6 coup members since that was all autopen.
Trump asserts he can reverse/void hundreds of executive actions by Biden, which may include pardons.

Part of why this stuff keeps getting underreported is that our media class can’t get it through their thick heads that this is not a weightless debate over political ideology, but a declaration of war on over 100 million Americans, which DHS is announcing an intent to eliminate

I understand why people say "send him to the Hague" but it can comes across unintentionally racist and first world chauvinists. The ICC is for when normal national judicial systems are broken. Hegseth is murdering Colombians and Colombia has a judicial system fully capable of holding him accountable
November 28, 2025 at 7:14 PM
Democrats (and everyone following Hegseth's orders) need to remember that while Trump can pardon Hegseth or make some "official acts" argument there is nothing stopping the next Dem president from sending Hegseth to Colombia to stand trial there for murder.

We literally executed Germans after the war for doing what Bradley and everyone else involved did, and the Germans had a better justification (u-boat plausibly being targeted based on info provided by survivors vs.......whatever the hell pete was worried about here)
Given the justification was in part because they might communicate with someone, pete could ask Heinz-Wilhelm Eck and his XO what the law of armed conflict says about that, except oops, the allies shot them dead in 1945 after a trial
WaPo with reporting that Pete gave an explicit order to JSOC during the first strike post impact to immediately follow up in order to, and I quote, "kill them all"

the authors kind of hint at this in the paper but the implications of this are really bad for inclusionary zoning policy. basically: there’s not really any level of market rate housing that you can replace with affordable housing and get better market outcomes

People understand that if you want a cheap car you don't try to get car companies to build brand new very cheap cars, you buy a 5 year old car with 40,000 miles that will still run for another 100,000.
Yet somehow people refuse to believe the same logic applies to housing.
Interesting new working paper that studies chains of movers after the construction of a new apartment building in Honolulu.

Paper finds that the project resulted in the opening up other, lower cost, housing on the island, benefiting the housing market overall.

People are going to debate whether their candidates' message should be affordability or abundance or corruption BUT the only thing voters will care about in 2026 is how much you hate Trump and want to screw him over.

Now that Trump's job approval rating is in the 30s they are turning the racism dial up to 11.

Things are going to get way uglier as Trump admin gets more and more unpopular. His teams is literally incapable of self reflection. We are in a tight downward spiral now.

Vaccines are the single greatest human achievement ever. Basically nothing is even close.
Australia recorded ZERO cases of cervical cancer in women under 25 for the first time since they started tracking the cancer in the 80s.

This is the power of vaccines.

The HPV vaccine is extremely effective at preventing cancer.

Viruses can be oncogenic. Get your vaccines and protect yourself!

Vaccination programs have played a key role, and GPs remain ‘instrumental’ in boosting screening rates to reach the 2035 target.
