I don't know how long our society will wait, but with Trump weakening, people of good conscience and in positions of power and influence need to finally step up and start calling out the sheer evil that has infected much of our country, many of our elected officials.
At some point someone just needs to say “you are an indecent person, you are lying to cover the slaughter of defenseless men, you know you are lying, and even under the tenets of your own professed faith you will certainly burn in hell if you continue down this path”
WELKER: Isn't it possible that even the act of taking off a t shirt could've been part of an attempt to get attention for help?

TOM COTTON: Or it could've been an attempt to signal to another cartel boat to come pick them up and pick up the cargo

To the point: cold-blooded killer.

There are 75,977 people born in Somalia who are now citizens of the United States, including those specific people.

He is talking about US citizens. He is talking about *us*.

The truth is that none of us are garbage, and the job of the US president is to represent all of us.

We, the people.
Trump on Somalis: "We're gonna go the wrong way if we keep taking in garbage into our country. Ilhan Omar is garbage. She's garbage. Her friends are garbage."

Thank you, @bcnjake.bsky.social !!
I can't tell you how many of my (wonderful, driven, caring, genuinely outstanding) students are Somali. I'd take each and every one of them over a thousand of that orange pissbag. I'd take a single one of them over every last dollar he has.

My students are an inspiration. Trump's an embarrassment.
Trump on Minnesota's Somali community: "They contribute nothing. I don't want them in our country, I'll be honest with you."

We have to be rid of this ignoble menace.
Trump said today he'll be pardoning former Honduran President Juan Hernandez, who was convicted of drug trafficking and weapons charges in 2024 and sentenced to 45 years in prison.

Waging a drug war on Venezuela while pardoning a narco-terrorist takes hypocrisy to a level once thought impossible.

I swore an oath to the Constitution in 1986. I've upheld it through 25 years of service and every day since I retired.

If Trump's trying to intimidate me, it won’t work. I’ve given too much to our country to be silenced by bullies who care more about power than the Constitution.

This article. Whoa.
In every way, Trump demands fealty to himself—and to his whims, wholly untethered to law—over fealty to federal officials’ oaths of office. So again: Are you effing kidding me? What Dems did here was patriotic. They forced the debate we need over Trump's lawlessness.

The lack of personal and professional rectitude is both stunning and sad.
I wish we lived in a land where if journalists heard the president call one of their colleges "piggy" or suggest another of their colleagues, who was butchered for what he wrote, in some way had it coming, they would close their laptops, leave as soon as possible, and ask to be reassigned.
