Union Square Main Streets along with a load of local businesses are holding a "Jingle" on 7 December (1-6pm).

Looks like there'll be lots of family-friendly activities and opportunities to shop local for the holidays.

These sorts of things annoy me.

Eversource is doing a good thing _here_, however people struggled with bills last winter because Eversource price gouged its customers via “delivery” fees.

They are not saviors, they contributed to food insecurity and will eagerly hike prices again when allowed.

The Immigrant Solidarity March and Vigil had a great showing. The Somerville community really knows how to show up. The stories told at the end were moving and hard to hear. Our country has lost so much to ICE goon squads led by soulless and hateful cowards. We need to protect the people around us.

Happy to share Ben Ewen-Campen has endorsed me!

“Jon will be a great City Councilor - I’ve been so impressed by his genuine commitment to helping the Somerville community. He’s just a really good person, humble and smart and hard working, and it shines through. I’m very pleased to endorse him.”

The rain held off for all of the parade. Saw some people I really like while supporting an org I really like: the Somerville Community Land Trust.

Proud to announce I've been endorsed by the UAW—my union while I was a grad student teacher at UMass Amherst where I taught while I studied. The UAW fought to get us good pay and health benefits. It's such a joy to help advocate for their work supporting working families.

Proud to join SBWU workers on the picket line today! When taking on tough fights in the face of union busting, it is so important to be alongside them in solidarity. It was great to see members of my former union UAW there as well!

I will continue to show up for workers and unions in Somerville!

The results of the Somerville preliminary were amazing. I had hoped to do well, but I ran the race I wanted to. I believe good people don‘t need tons of money to get started. I also didn’t want to create plastic yard sign waste. A little money and no signs.

12 people running—I came in fourth.

Win, lose, or draw, I have an amazing family. They have supported me, kept my spirit high, and have helped me center my heart in mind throughout this campaign. My wife, Liz, is an inspiration. She spent her whole life doing good. That’s how I want to spend the rest of mine.

Here’s another. They have it upside down and it’s not an accident. What’s next? Red Sox face middle school baseball team? Local man faces ham sandwich?

Saw this posted around a few places recently. Love the idea. Keeps slightly broken things out of landfills and reduces consumption

Sunday is looking like a beautiful day—perfect for donuts in Lexington Park, right off the community path.

Swing by for a quick donut hole on your way through, or stick around for a bit of conversation about what makes Somerville great and what could make it even better.

Hope to see you there!

Decided to explain why I'm going yard sign-less as I campaign for Somerville City Council At-Large.

Knocked on doors in ward 7 and found Somerville’s worst (sort of) working drinking fountain. Doesn’t drain and is full of bird poop. Somehow the longer I let it run, the hotter the water got. DPW might need an old priest and a young priest to fix this one.
August 11, 2025 at 11:33 PM
This is a good encapsulation of why I am running. Safe streets, better constituent services, getting money and support for our schools, affordable housing (not pictured).

Happening tomorrow: Please join us for a morning of donuts and conversation in Lincoln Park. Discuss local issues, ask any burning questions, and/or eat a tasty donut.

I'm running for city council at-large. This Sunday I'll be in the park enjoying a not so scorching morning with my kids, donuts, and some nice people.

Oh man, I was so close to posting almost a very similar same pic, Ben. I truly wish I was joking…

Somerville doesn’t have loads of wildlife, but it’s got loads and loads of birds. This baby robin nesting in our dogwood is just about to leave the nest in this pic. Very fun to watch it go from egg to this.
