I haven't had the time to properly dig into hunting/rescue hound yet, but even the first two stories have hints; the kennels being a weird tunnel could be her being sinister, but it could just as easily be general staff snubbing her by jamming her in a shittiest part of the base

it's a fascinating perspective, I had always interpreted the Handler persona as "obviously it's unrealistic this is a weird dreamlike/magical realism/mythic narrative space" and not as "obviously it's unrealistic, it's a facade put on by a deeply broken and honestly kinda pathetic person"
