This was a super fun stream with both @dtfultz.bsky.social and @hypervoiceacting.bsky.social answering as #Bowser and #KingBoo on #AskMario! Here's the sketch dump I did throughout the stream!

Tyler requested Meowser! Everybody wants to be a cat, including The Bowz! Steve requested Bowser making the face Homer made in one of the Treehouse of Horror episodes: "The Shinning"! Speaking of Treehouse of Horror, I combined a gag from Ask Mario Ep. 19 when Kamek turned Bowser's throne into a Cheep-Cheep and The Simpsons gag of Homer time-traveling with a toaster and sitting on a fish! Koopa Clown Car is a vehicle of terror, I swear! Ask Mario Ep. 9 gag: "Bowser's Potential Pranks on Mario" #10: Move his house to an active volcano while he's asleep... a prank or... homicide? ^_^;;; Also in Ask Mario Ep. 9, an asker by the name of Tony Blaze asked a bunch of... unflattering questions to Bowser, thus he has been added to a list of people Bowser will invite to a "tea party." Seems... harmless? And finally, from Ask Mario Ep. 17, Princess Peach and Daisy are asked when they will adopt the title of "Queen." Bowser is a big boi! ...man. Adult. Turtle-dragon. HE IS MASCULINE. Bowser was not proud of getting swung around by the tail, but darned if he didn't put on an INCREDIBLE show in the finale of Super Mario 64!!! I loved the organ in the battle theme, the lighting was intimidating, his moveset was dangerous, and making the platform into a tight star at the end really upped the tension!

Here are my three picks, although one of them may be questionable whether accounts or not.

I put down my reasons in the ALT text. (I also saw someone pointing out Pokémon HeartGold/SoulSilver, and I wholeheartedly agree with them!)
While you do have the option to play the original with the new assets, the expanded adventure balances out a lot of the level designs, plus the replayability of playing the game as different characters makes this a fantastic remake! Wholeheartedly agree! Not just in visuals, but the improvements on different abilities, level, balancing, and new adventures makes this a definitive way of playing Kirby Super Star!!! Honestly, with the addition of the e-Reader, the fact that you can play 2P on one handheld, the extra bonus content and a lot of the quality of life improvements on the existing system, this is the way that I play Super Mario Bros 3. (this may be skirting the edge of it since visuals and certain things are similar to the All-Stars port.) I loved the original, but the remake balances out the gameplay so much, I just can’t go back without thinking of how much better it is to do the Bros. Moves in the remake! Also, hot take, but I do like a good number of the visuals here that I did the GBA version. (mainly the main characters, although a few unique looking enemies looked better in the original, such as the Hammer Bros and Laser Snifits.) It’s also one of the rare cases where I replay an RPG more than once, since the game has a couple of exploits, making it possible to speedrun the game better than the original!

Back when #MetroidDread was announced and eventually released, @niftihalostudios.com and I joked about Samus being hunted by my cat, Emmy rather than the E.M.M.I. units.

I may polish up one of these sketches in the future.
The dreaded E.M.M.I… …is elsewhere, Samus. But this particular Emmy does like to chase fast-moving objects smaller than her. Stay outta Morph Ball mode, Samus!!! 😱 ADAM: <I ESTIMATE A 99% PROBABILITY OF SPLODEY-BOOM IF THE EMMY CAPTURES YOU.>

Here are the sketches based on a good portion of the Luigi Galaxy streams, half of them based on the one with #Luaisy from two weeks ago! (and one with @dtfultz.bsky.social guest-starring!)
Left, middle-up, upper-right, to bottom-to-bottom-right: 1) From Stream #1: LuBeeGi and DoJayMi singing the Beegee's "Staying Alive" 2) Luigi's catchphrase in the streams: "It's time to LOCK IN!!!" 3) Bowser's speech getting interrupted by a Mario Superchat notification. (I actually sketched the Mario Face from Super Mario 64 just for silliness' sake.) 4) From Stream #4: This was a portion from the very beginning of the Luaisy stream. Unfortunately, due to the strange stream outage, this one ended up getting up going unlisted, but this moment was still VERY cute, I had to sketch it. Oh no! Luigi, stop thinking about Daisy and watch out for the goopy dark matter! A common theme in Super Luigi Galaxy: Weege hitting his booty on fire and pointy stuff. Oh, and Daisy makes that memetic comment about Luigi's powerful booty.

Super Mario World was one of the first games that I ever played when I was little, and it’s one of my favorite games to speedrun every once in a while!

Here are some of my Super Mario World based sketches that I did from 2018 all the way to a couple of days ago!

(Made back in 3 January, 2021) Mario, Luigi, Yoshi, Princess Peach and Yoshi’s trapped friends make their victory march back to Yoshi’s island! Luigi is talented at clapping with one hand! (From Ep. 8) The three Marios display their musical chops! (At the end of the 4th Donkey Kong Bananza stream with Maxwell, Steve/Hyper VA and Slick Frame James each singing as their respective Mario voices. 🤣) Jason shows off his adorable mini golden doodle, Daisy-Ann(?), to Luigi. True to form, our favorite green goober is confused and thinks his sweetheart has been magically turned into the doggy.

My biggest takeaway from the latest Air Riders Direct is the Corn-ula Star.
When it comes to quality, Kirby’s Air Riders never ceases to aMAIZE us. No, but seriously, vehicle customization is both really awesome and absolutely hilarious. 🤣

And then we have Mega Man using Air Shooter in Mega Man 2 - I made two versions of it in Clip Studio Paint.

Most of my art is done in sketches nowadays, and I’m sure I have more to share, but these are the ones that I’ve got that I’m extremely pleased with. Hope you enjoy!
Based on all of the classic Mega Man games where Mega Man solely changes color when he has a new weapon. Based on Mega Man 11 where Mega Man’s helmet and buster changes to resemble a little closer to the robot master, he’s copying. In this case, Air Man!

This recreation of the cover of the first annual comic of Amazing Spider-Man was done back in 2020… I remembered fighting through waves of procrastination before this one was done, but I was very happy with how it came out. Today, I still think it it’s one of my best!

We have two Metroid II based fan art, one was a piece of gift art and the other I did to push my skills further. The first one solely based on Samus Returns (3DS) while the other takes inspiration from the intense Serris fight in AM2R. (Fan remake!)

Both in 2019.

There’s something funny about Toad being adorable and disturbing + mushroom people, eating mushrooms. 😆 (though I guess Lumalee has taken the mantle of adorable Mario character gone creepy nowadays)

A hodgepodge of different Spider-Man pics I made in 2017/2021. The older one is actually based on Spider-Man’s comic book debut in Amazing Fantasy #15!
2017 - Semi-polished sketch based on the cover of Amazing Fantasy #15. Back when Peter Parker announced his identity to the entire world while catching the perp. This page, I practiced different poses along with making four semi-polished sketches of my favorite Spider-Man costumes at the time: (from top-left, clockwise) Sam Raimi suit, MCU makeshift suit, Captain America/Spider-Man: Homecoming suit, and the Iron Spider Mk.4. In the middle is my own design, which is a combination of the MCU/Classic Ditko design with the larger Sam Raimi spider emblem.

2014: This was actually made for a blog post based on the robot masters and their secondary weaknesses. It never got published, but I still like how dynamic this piece of art was! 2018 - Sketch based on the initial chase by Mecha Dragon in Mega Man 2. 2020 - Sketch I did based on the European box art of Mega Man 1. Unlike the generic painting we got in the US, the European box art was not half bad!

Here are my two recreations of the MM1/Powered Up robot masters back in 2013/2018, both in the Super Smash Bros 4 and MM11 art styles.
I really like the more robotic takes that both art styles use versus the more Japanese superhero sort of art style of the mainstream classic games!
2013 - The Mega Man 1/Powered Up robot masters in the Smash Bros for 3DS/Wii-U style. Time Man’s bemused look still gets me. 😆 2018 - Based on the Mega Man 11 art style! Bomb Man got the green coloration based on his Captain N look, plus to differentiate the robot masters a bit.

Replying to my dear friend @niftihalostudios.com ‘s post, I guess I can go ahead and share some of the artwork that I am proud of, starting in 2007/2013, my take on the epilogue of Mega Man 3. despite the age of the more polished one, I feel it holds up well to this day!
2007 - I sketched this during the end of my high school years. The art style is based on Hitoshi Ariga’s Megamix/Gigamix art for Mega Man. My grasp for proportions and posing was… not the best, but it would improve over time. 2014 - I went back and polished the pic and took the design that Mega Man had in Super Smash Bros for 3DS/Wii-U. I’m still incredibly happy with how this came out!!
