The U.K’s guilty men want you to forget that the 2008 bankers’ crisis, 14 years of austerity, Brexit, and Covid failures are the cause of our woes.

Instead, they want you to think renewable energy, which costs your household 47p a day, is the problem.

They think you’re idiots.

Renewables routinely generate more than half of U.K electricity.

They also generate thousands of jobs, reduce our exposure to volatile gas prices, and allow us to stick two fingers up to fossil-fueled dictators.

Leadership is knowing the way, showing the way, AND going the way…🇬🇧♻️⚡️👷👩‍🔧

Global warming deniers and fossil fuel shills in the West spent decades supporting Big Oil’s attempts to kill the electric car.

Now, they blame ‘gender neutral corporate speech’ for the industrial decline they caused.

If you fall for their lies, you’ll fall for anything.

For the Right, the ideal public service broadcaster is one that deletes stories about the White House being inhabited by a Russian asset.

Baking bread is very satisfying.

If you haven’t had a go, you should try it.

I'm reading Ernest Shackleton's South: The Endurance Expedition.

So, for fans of seafaring, remarkable stoicism, pipes, knitwear, and sled puppies, may I present Second Officer, Tom Crean.

Every day, I wake up at 06:45, brew coffee, then make bread dough, which I bake in the evening.

If you start your day by achieving something - however small - the rest will follow.

Nothing typifies the unwarranted hysteria of the ‘energy debate’ in the U.K more than the @theguardian.com using a stock photograph of someone in a blanket clinging to a radiator in their report on a 28 PENCE ($0.37) A MONTH increase in energy bills.

We’re just not a serious country.

Great front page by the The Economist.

Poverty, civil unrest, and international weakness always follow a collapse in the rule of law.

Remember Americans, this was the kind of United States for which you voted.

Let it be known that I was a very early fan of the Heatherwick Studio design for Birmingham City’s new stadium.

The brick chimneys reflecting Birmingham’s history as an industrial powerhouse look fantastic.

It’s going to be one of the most iconic grounds in the country. Guaranteed.

There’s a Russian spy ship off Scotland shining lasers at RAF pilots patrolling our skies and the Kremlin is sending drones into NATO airspace while Trump has betrayed us with a ‘peace plan’ for Ukraine that amounts to surrender.

Where are the outraged ‘British patriots’?

Hundred year-old cobbles resist ice formation via curved surfaces and deep mortar joints.

They also last forever; only requiring re-setting every few decades.

Concrete & asphalt surfaces, however, allow water to pond, which then becomes treacherous ice in sub zero temperatures.

Royal Mail is replacing 52 vans with 104 Micro Electric Vehicles (MEVs) to save 242 tonnes of CO2 emissions each year.

The MEVs will also improve air quality & road safety, occupy less space, & speed up deliveries.

The company operates 7,000 electric vehicles and plans to add 1,800 more in 2026!

Mate of mine sent me this from the Scotland game last night.

North Americans of Bluesky, the Tartan Army is on the way to the World Cup…😍

As winter flooding looms, it's worth noting that a young street tree in an asphalt surface can prevent 60% of the rain that falls on it from reaching the ground, even when not in leaf.

Increasing the low levels of urban tree cover should be a strategic national priority.

Blue tick X accounts who achieved nothing in life until Musk started paying them to lie about net zero and beg for donations from their mum’s spare bedroom will be the death of the West.

The world is getting on with it while we cling to an imagined past because of these grifters.

Two weeks ago, it took the NHS 75 minutes to examine, x-ray, and refer me.

I met my consultant today, had a physio session, and booked an MRI for 8 December.

Nobody asked for my credit card details.

The NHS shows another world is possible, which is why they want to destroy it.

Australia receives the world's highest average solar radiation 👉 58 million petajoules a year.

That’s 10,000 times its electricity use and 2,500 times its energy consumption.

It doesn’t need coal, gas, or nuclear.

These people are serving someone, but it’s not Australians.
