Happy to share that I have been awarded an SNSF Starting Grant that will allow me to return to @unibas.ch as an assistant professor for five years next summer. I will also be able to hire a team to work with me on a project about treason, democracy, and the rule of law in interwar Czechoslovakia.

It's official! Today I defended my PhD dissertation, and so I am now Dr. Parker! Only a few minor corrections to make to the dissertation and one more month of teaching, and I will have concluded my PhD in History! Looking forward to a long vacation and what comes next.

I did it! This past weekend, I submitted my dissertation to my faculty committee. 273 pages or 87,000+ words in the end. Looking forward to the defense in just a few weeks!
