I have the slide below that comes in the last week of my class on patent prosecution, where I go on a short rant about the unfairness of Canadian patent attorneys being able to practice before the USPTO, while Americans aren't able to do the same thing before CIPO.

Looking at more views convinces me that the design on the right isn't infringed either. (And what's with Fig. 2 of the '290 patent excluding the rectangular plate shown in solid lines in Fig. 1?)
