I hear that. But if more Dems don’t learn how to walk and chew gum, we’ll have Republicans in power when neighbors are being kidnapped.

Kotek gambled by not making transpo a priority and she lost that gamble. Hopefully she changes course and gives this issue attn and action it requires.

Been trying to light a fire under Dems. I hear they will change tune once the sigs are official but I’m not holding my breath bikeportland.org/2025/11/19/o...
Opinion: Oregon faces dead end if Republicans lead transportation conversation
With paltry gains likely headed for the ballot, it's time for Democrats to stand up and fight back.

People hooted and hollered for transit this last time and lawmakers just folded! Gonna be even harder to get folks’ attention next time

Hahaha yes.

They would never tho… because they love to maintain plausible reasonability. “Oh no, we aren’t against the gas tax, just THIS gas tax.”

He was huge! Passed it well too. Big win! Especially with the injuries and the worst game I have ever seen Jerami Grant play. Oof.

Yeah I hear you but if they don’t think this is a priority worthy of weighing in on they are just not good at politics imo. This issue has energized a massive bloc of voters and Rs are using the petition drive to build their voter rolls for the Gov race.

Yeah too bad there’s not one Dem afaik that is doing any media saying this exact thing. Where is the comms strategy? Rs are feeding at the trough and Dems are sitting it out as if everything’s fine.

i'm not in charge of building infrastructure. I'm just a guy on the internet. You should yell at your elected officials.

say what you want, but my worldview just happens to coincide with every adopted transportation plan and goal of the city, region and state. So I think that means I'm actually pretty in touch. 😎

aaahh now I see. This is about you stereotyping someone you don't know instead of discussing ideas and facts like respectful adults.

what's really entitled is thinking that people who don't want to drive as much should pay more and suffer from all the people who assume their dangerous, inefficient, wasteful, toxic, and inefficient mode of travel is a right and not a privilege.

thanks for making my points! We underinvest in our infrastructure because so much money is being sucked into the pockets of staff and consultants on those massive megaprojects that are from the 1960s instead of modern projects that actually reduce driving capacity & create space for biking/transit.
