KONTINENTAL '25 ('25): The ultimate personal parallel I can make to this is finding out that by watching this today I missed out on a day of brutal Wells hazings and now, while legally absolved, I am distressed and cannot enjoy my trip to the greek restaurant with the fire cheese in good taste.

BELOW THE CLOUDS (‘25): deep, rich b&w cinematography of Naples dealing with grave robbers, exasperated firemen and the seemingly squalid conditions of museum curators working in darkness. Fun for the family.
December 13, 2025 at 5:48 PM
CURTAINS (‘83): One of the more appropriate period Canadian slashers that asks “how far can we stretch this one location and costume store mask”

WAKE UP DEAD MAN (‘25): when it ended on the tom waits song I dropped to my knees thankful even with netflix money no one can afford u2 drops. Also height appropriate Brolin shot!

THE VISITOR ('25): Give me more Lithuanian films about having to sell your parent's apartment, eating spaghetti out of a pot with your childhood friend, alternate shots out of order, dark fairy tale dance numbers and floating apple trees. More goddamn it.

I can't believe Sundance news leaked yesterday and none of the trades carried this story qns.com/2025/12/runa...

DRACULA (Jude, '25): I upset an entire theater because I laughed too long and too loud at the "LIKE THAT [BAND] LEAD SINGER RAPIST" line. Otherwise, a great film about AI being a curse and how everyone just wants a Frankenstein but settles for a Dracula story.

If you’re not drinking five beers before a Radu Jude film and overhearing people lament a soccer game and others having to be at work for a conference call about internal ethics policies and a holiday party is two hours late so a manager is freaking out can you even call yourself a fan

FIUME O MORTE (‘25): Well deserved title card drop with a tongue-in-cheek reenactment and needle drop. It drags but heightened by people wandering into the theater and sitting on the floor because why not.
December 6, 2025 at 9:31 PM
SIRĀT (‘25): I expected it to be louder but was cursed with a dead center front row seat. And I had a great time because the people beside me thought it was a road trip comedy.
