It's not just Mandelson McSweeney got wrong, he was also responsible for the disastrous policy of appeasing the hard right on immigration. But Starmer was his boss, he doesn't get to walk away with clean hands after throwing his minions under the bus.

McSweeney gave Starmer advice to back Mandelson – Starmer didn't have to believe and act on that advice. #Epstein 🇬🇧 🇺🇸
Labour source: "It seems bizarre Morgan has gone just for giving advice. There are plenty of other people still around Keir who have hidden behind Morgan and tried to pretend they weren’t pushing for this appointment. They will no longer be able to."

This is what a lot of potential Reform voters don’t get. Amid all the “well they’re new, give them a chance” they know nothing about of Reform’s actual policies. Instead of banging on about the blatant racism etc. of Farage & Co. we should stress how Reform will make their lives worse, not better.
Vote Reform - get the same rights as Belarus & the safety net of Hungary.

I warned Starmer about Mandelson.
My wife Bunty did
So did Dean our paperboy
Ramrod our Lab did.
Jill in the village shop baked some warning baps for him & Simple Sally, who helps Jill, warned him using dance & spit.
Ronnie Pickering warned him.
So did Chaka Demus.
And Pliers.
Why didn’t he LISTEN?🤦🏻‍♂️

Remarkable how the unionist press have spent decades screaming about SNP supporters being Stalinist haters of a free press. Because someone told Alex Massie to fuck off on twotter.

But Labour Together investigating journalists and Mandleson threatening them gets a free pass.

Odd innit?

Whether Starmer stays or goes, what will remain is the same broken Westminster system that fails to serve Scotland.

For the Scotland we want, we need independence.

Isn't White House Press Secretary Leavitt always professing her Christian values by prominently wearing a cross while speaking for President Trump,? 🤔
The press secretary attempted to defend a racist video that Trump shared of the Obamas, calling the outrage around the post “fake.”

NEW: Mandelson just sent a memo to UK newspapers via the press watchdog demanding they stop publishing his links to Epstein.

He cited clauses in the Editors code, designed to protect grieving families.

The memo was NOT to be published.

The National just said ‘fuck that’ & published it in full 👏

Anas Sarwar says today of Peter Mandelson: “I'm utterly disgusted and furious about the entire situation … He never should have been the ambassador to the US.”

For context, here’s Sarwar in April 2025 love-bombing his ‘old friend’.

They think we are stupid.

He is an amoral opportunistic chancer.

The thing is, you didn't have to be Nostradamus to see it. You just had to be independent of the ultra-rich. Unfortunately, the great majority of the media is in the plutocrats' pockets. So the people pointing it out are shunned. In 2009 I tried and tried to get the BBC to pick this up. But ...⛔🤐
1. In 2009 I wrote this. I argued that Peter Mandelson's department “functions as a fifth column within government, working for corporations to undermine democracy and the public interest.”
This thread explains what I saw, and reaches a startling conclusion.🧵

The Lords is a massive problem. How can a supposedly advanced country still be maintaing a veritably feudal upper house where you can't get rid of members.

It's absolutely insane.
The government has:
1. Referred Mandelson to the police for investigation over leaking sensitive information while in government
2. Decided it *will* try to strip Mandelson of his peerage after all.

That’s both throwing him under the bus and then reversing to make sure in one fell swoop.

1. Always point your weapon downrange
2. Do not point your weapon at anything you do not intend to shoot
3. Don’t put your finger on the trigger unless you intend to shoot

happening this morning in Minneapolis -- ICE agents drawing guns on observers. I reiterate again that it is only a matter of time before DHS kills more innocent people in Minnesota. Congress needs to shut this shit down right now.
