my son got the complete collection books earlier this year, so we have been through pretty much all of them a couple of times.

For me, it is Al Tilley the Bum.

it feels like arguing that we should give the domestic abuser credit for stopping the relentless beating of their spouse.

Every dem I know definitely knows who Larry Summers is, let alone wants to protect him at all costs.

It's surreal to see this on an account with the framing that feels like, "look at this crazy, little known thing that happened in the distant past that I just uncovered."

I have all of them plus a decent PC.

I barely play them other than with the kids a few times a week.

I think I mostly own them due to the chip on my shoulder from always being generations behind as a kid.

I would read, and over simplify, the OP as a combo of high youth turnout and enthusiasm and the older demos are likely a combination of low enthusiasm and more people putting it off until Tuesday.

But that's a pretty large gap initially which is reassuring, but I never feel secure until it's over

yes! I think all the hype around episode 8 and the fact that it was extra long really let me convince myself there was going to be big, explosive type revelations.

saying "it played like an epilogue" is exactly what it actually felt like, esp with so many musical scenes/montages.

This unlocked childhood memories of loving this movie and having these cards.

this is such a nightmare fever dream. i'm sure it was a little bewildering to watch in 2007, other than being numb to shows like this being on all the time, but in 2025 it's just pure insanity.

like, award winning, critically acclaimed satire madness.

I only saw a replay with no sound.

It generally would have been unremarkable until the base runner decided to give himself up at home, right?

Seems like they told him it was ok to give a receipt and he interpreted that as "you run in and know that The Purge is in effect as long as you're in the ring."
