We're all on a journey through life. Some of us are walking, some of us are carrying others, some of us are dragging others. Everyone's got a burden. We may be on different paths, but we will run into each other now and again. I don't really eat cats.
At least on the economy... I agree. 👇
A week ago, he said affordability was a “hoax. Two days ago, he said inflation was “nonexistent.” Yesterday, he told American parents to “buy fewer pencils & dolls” for their kids.

Yes, he’s an ignorant ass, but gosh, I want him to keep speaking.

U.S. military spending is set to hit a record $1 trillion.

Roughly half of defense spending goes to private contractors that routinely price-gouge the government.

Meanwhile, the Pentagon has failed seven straight audits.

This is the military industrial complex on steroids.

Democrats would be crazy not to make this comment super-famous tomorrow when the Senate debates health care. Republicans don’t want you to be cared for as a patient when you’re sick. They think of you as a “consumer”—and tough luck if you don’t have the money for the care you need.
Roger Marshall: "We want patients to become consumers again. We want patients to see what the actual prices are. We believe that if we would add the price tags to this bill, that it would save the country a trillion dollars a year."

MTG presents a weak argument, and a typical one for Trumpers. Anytime Trump or one of their pols is called out for bad behavior, so often it turns into a ridiculous bothsidesism. She couldn't handle a tough question from Stahl so she jumps to that.

She may be trying to change but she hasn't yet.

LESLEY STAHL: You contributed to the toxic culture. You were out there pounding, insulting people

MARJORIE TAYLOR GREENE: You've contributed to it as well

STAHL: I want you to respond to what you have done in terms of insulting people

MTG: I'd like for you to respond to that

The whole point of a playoff is to determine a champion. If you're 10-2 and down there on the "bubble" and you don't get in, I understand the disappointment, but you weren't in serious contention for a championship anyway. I get so sick of this sort of whining. CFP's almost as bad as the Dance.

Two things: I don't know how many times I've heard people say what MTG is saying about Republicans hating Trump privately. Lots of times, I guess. But Trumpers need to hear it. And it doesn't make me think better of them. They're cowards. www.yahoo.com/news/article...

A "con job", he says...

Donald Trump has never cared about anybody but himself. I doubt he even has the capacity to care about anyone else. And more than anything else, this is why he's unsuited for the POTUS job.
"I have never seen the line this long at this food bank, This is 4x the size of every previous year...the line wraps around the building a second time..Everyone is freezing and an older lady in line had to be taken inside because she looked like she was about to pass out from being too cold..."

Capitalism doesn't really work when there isn't a level playing field. All the good things it's supposed to bring us as citizens disappear in this environment. Businesses no longer fear their own customers because they don't believe you have another choice. The same thing goes for democracy, btw.
Five corporations control 90% of the US media market.

Airlines merged from 12 major carriers in 1980 to 4 today.

Four giants control 80% of meat processing.

The evidence of corporate consolidation is everywhere.

It means more power for them and less freedom for you.
Netflix's $83 billion takeover of Warner Bros Discovery would mean more corporate consolidation.

Netflix, by far the #1 streamer, would take over HBO Max, the #3 streaming service.

This giant merger could violate antitrust law and hurt consumers.

Every year at this time I think of a nativity set my family had growing up, and sometimes I even think maybe I can find one like it. I have no nativity scene myself, mainly because I can't find one that satisfies me.
