It's been a mild midweek, but within #StormBram on Tues 9th #Edinburgh (Gogerbank) recorded its highest Dec temp, 16.6C . Carlisle set a new UK date record for 9th 16.8C. Gusts were over 80mph at low levels, over 100mph for the mountain tops. share.google/VisVxwmi1S2s...

With gusts over 80mph, heavy rain and flooding there has been travel disruption as Storm Bram moved past Ireland and Scotland. Windy again today in the north but not as mild.

Although some western parts of Britain have seen a lot of rain this week and in November, we still have drought regions. The Atlantic is in control for the next few days with changeable weather.
