And that's good night

Melton showing tonight the ways through which how valuable he can be and being a movement shooter off of split action is one of them.
December 8, 2025 at 2:04 AM
As I've said, late-shot-clock Jimmy Butler is the greatest shooter of all time
December 8, 2025 at 1:59 AM
Jimmy is probably one of the best in history at playing off of two feet.

Scores, gets the rebound, and drills the three. He's capturing a rhythm.

De'Anthony Melton is important, folks

One of my favorite decisions defenses make after timeouts is to go zone to mess up opponent ATOs. Dubs go to their tandem 2-3 zone here and whatever the Bulls were planning in the huddle was nullified.
December 8, 2025 at 1:32 AM
Watch Jimmy directing things on the floor after realizing he has position against Cobi White. Tells Post to lift up to receive the pass. Post with a well-placed lob to Jimmy for the bucket.
December 8, 2025 at 1:29 AM
Dubs being able to resort to a Spencer-Post high ball screen in late clock situations has been a luxury, especially with Post being able to pop out and no one on the Bulls veering back/rotating toward him.
December 8, 2025 at 1:27 AM
Again, connected defense and knowing your coverages. It's a 1-4 switch with Post in drop coverage. Bulls have a tough time getting something in the half court.
December 8, 2025 at 1:24 AM
Double drag shallow with Buddy and Post as screeners and Jimmy handling the ball to start the half. Vuc forced into the action and fouls Jimmy on the drive.
December 8, 2025 at 1:18 AM
Buddy help defense + Jimmy paint touch leading to a Podz three. Defense leading to offense.
December 8, 2025 at 1:01 AM
Small detail but Post guarding Collins and being aware that you can sag off of Collins when he has the ball (defensive 3 seconds rule not applying here) allows him to virtually seal off the paint.
December 8, 2025 at 12:43 AM
Look at how connected this defense has been
December 8, 2025 at 12:37 AM
Dating back to last game, Gui has been such an excellent in-between playmaker: on the short roll, attacking off the catch, and cutting toward the paint to act as the release valve.
December 8, 2025 at 12:34 AM
Just something different about how the ball moves with this combination on the floor. There's moving the ball without purpose (i.e., overpassing) and then there's *this*
December 8, 2025 at 12:21 AM
Important to the Warriors' offense to keep the ball and players moving. Big reason why Pat is getting minutes is because he internalizes that mantra while maintaining steadiness and calm with his ball handling. Breaks the paint, Bulls defense collapses inward, Buddy open up top.
December 8, 2025 at 12:17 AM
This is the luxury of Quinten Post: running a pindown for your 7-foot stretch five. Vuc hanging back in the paint, Buddy takes his man to unclog the side, Richard setting the pin on Vuc, Post drills the shot.

Always a sweaty time whenever you allow the opposing star to get a shot off in an end-of-game situation, but this is a timely and clutch switch by Gui onto Mitchell arond the screen to make Mitchell's shot very, very difficult.
December 7, 2025 at 3:03 AM
Quinten Post, rim protector has been fun to watch tonight
December 7, 2025 at 2:52 AM
Offense by committee with Pat Spencer at the head of that committee. His back cut triggers this bucket by GP2.
December 7, 2025 at 2:39 AM
Again, I say, the Dubs are moving the HECK out of that ball
December 7, 2025 at 2:36 AM
Dubs are moving the heck out of that ball. Gui attacking Garland's closeout while GP2 cuts inside creates the open three for Spencer.
December 7, 2025 at 2:36 AM
Sometimes all you need is luck and shooting variance in your favor. Gui and GP2 spend too much time trying to figure out on the fly who should be taking Mitchell in transition and almost cough up a rhythm three. Fortunately for them, it misses and Podz's rhythm three goes in.
December 7, 2025 at 2:20 AM
Side ballscreen for Moody and look at how everyone else shifts in the same direction as Moody drives to his right. Defense already has to account for the drive, now that Gui moves from the dunker to the right corner, no defender has eyes on him. Moody sprays to Gui in the corner.
