For four years, I’ve worked across the aisle to end stock trading in Congress.

Today’s hearing on our legislation in the House Administration Committee is a critical step.

But the time for action is NOW.

It is time for a vote on the House Floor, and for us to get this done!

Enjoyed kicking off the annual Turkey Trot in Longmont today with my daughter Natalie!

The best part of serving Colorado’s 2nd District is visiting with constituents & spending time in our communities — from Longmont to Timnath, and everywhere in between.

The Republican-led House has been in session for 12 days since August 3rd.

The most unproductive Congress in modern history.

As I made my way to D.C. for legislative session this week, I was deeply grateful to my wonderful wife, Andrea, and our entire team, who carried forward our Vietnam Veterans Memorial event in Longmont.

We are forever indebted to our brave veterans' sacrifice and courage. 🇺🇸

During our Rules Committee hearing, I exposed the outrageous lawsuit provision authored by Senate Republicans for what it is — a disgraceful, self-enrichment scheme.

And virtually every House Republican voted for it.

Steve Bannon allegedly compared the Republican Congress — which capitulates to Trump at every turn — to the Russian Duma.

After complaining for years about recesses, Republicans CLOSED the People’s House for an unprecedented 54 days.

The hypocrisy is stunning.

🔥 @RepJoeNeguse: “Most of 🇺🇸 will find this REPUGNANT. These senators are guaranteeing themselves million-dollar paydays.”

Bipartisan horror at @SenatorHagerty & @MarshaBlackburn’s greedy money grab snuck inside the funding bill— rewarding themselves for getting investigated.

Speaker Johnson claimed Republicans were doing “some of the most meaningful work of their careers” during the House’s ridiculous 54 day recess.

Of course, that did not include in-person town halls.

Neguse: The house since August 3rd has been in session for 12 days. Are you familiar with Steve Bannon? He compared the Congress to the Duma. Do you think that’s an apt comparison?

Cole: No

Neguse: Would it surprise you to know that the Duma has been in session this fall longer than the House?

Neguse: This is one of the most shameful episodes in my view in the modern history of the congress. The decision that Speaker Johnson made to recess the house for 54 days, to send Republican members home on paid vacation for eight weeks, is disgraceful.

Republicans were warned that their massive tax cuts for billionaires would explode the national debt. It is no surprise that last week the national debt surpassed $38 trillion, with the fastest accumulation of a trillion dollars in debt outside of the pandemic.

The hypocrisy is stunning.

Appreciated the opportunity to thank the incredible volunteers and inspiring staff at Sister Carmen Community Center earlier this week — and am deeply grateful to countless folks across our community who are stepping forward to help their neighbors as we fight to restore SNAP benefits.

Despite the government shutdown, my offices continue to serve YOU — including our legislative team!

I’m proud to have authored the 2nd most laws in the entire House last year & we’ve kept our foot on the gas the past few weeks — introducing bills to protect NOAA, lower housing costs & more.

I’ve held 17 in-person town halls this year.

Colorado Republicans have held NONE!
I’m proud to have held 17 public town halls this year — more than most members of Congress in the entire country — including our most recent one in Granby last week.

It is long past time for my Republican colleagues to start doing the same!
