I know space is limited, and you know this, but: should be a boundary. Ought to. But didn’t stop Rudy and all the other J6 coconspirators, won’t stop the current Cabinet or their remaining flunkies, or Trump’s civil lawyer now acting USA. Lose a license get a Fox hosting gig?

Actually quite enjoy sourdough but the craze was over the top

If you do what you love for your job, you’ll never work

in this town again, is how I think that goes

I favor spite campaigns, like this. “The former folks gave terrible service and don’t deserve your vote. I know exactly how their jerky behavior impacts people. I’ll do better.” So good.

May his memory be for a blessing and may those who grieve be comforted.

Live your life in such a way that good people celebrate your contribution, and terrible people bewail your work.

Yep.

Men are missing out a chance to Do Good/ Be Good. When we learn that dudes like him are the way they are, to women, in private, or even by their public speeches, we should bring consequences.

We should make fun of them. We should shun them. They should be so lonely.

Will defer if “dude” as nonspecific works on NB folks under whatever age.

Also, why say anything there? “You are SO in trouble” works without having to specify. Um. Yes, that wasn’t your request. Sorry.

safeguarding the community via holding someone is specific deterrence (keeping THIS person from reoffending) while general deterrence is ridiculous and has almost zero effect.

Consequences should be swift and assured and merciful and tailored, all at the same time.
November 15, 2025 at 2:58 PM
As a less merciful type of guy, I favor expulsion, shunning, and papal edicts forbidding last rites to those folks. say their actions condemn them to hell, beyond hope of salvation, and MEAN IT.

alas, their whole deal is forgiveness. I like pitchforks.

I mean we’ve been in decline for a minute now. Since 2016, at the absolute latest.

Yep, the 10,000 limit on U Visas is so patently absurd. There are people who will have their application for a U Visa approved this year who won't get their visa until the 2040s.
it's so perverse to have visa number limits on humanitarian protections like these

"oh sorry, you're already in the US but you can't get protection because of the arbitrary magical number a senate intern dreamt up as being applicable one day and suggested"

U visas, Ts, SIJS, it's so evil

Jobs and paychecks and vendor sweetheart deals and overtime and for-profit phone calls and exploitative contracts and bed minimums are all part of the same shit situation. It’s not just money but institutional racism is big business.
