This is such a cool idea, I just ordered Good Boy, so more about that once I get it.

The Northern Weird Project is six fantastic pocket-sized novellas from authors based in the North of England who are also engaging with the North as setting, subject, and character.

Finished this one today and the atmosphere, ooooof!

Coming from a long lost Northern town myself it hit hard - the relationship between Tommy and Al is also impeccably written and absolutely engrossing.

Bravo @jodierobins.bsky.social, brilliant book.

On occasion, I get asked to blurb some lovely books.

@catdelani.bsky.social's Unclaimed Property debuted yesterday and @jodierobins.bsky.social's The Off-Season debuts on the 26th from @wildhuntbooks.bsky.social. Both are excellent tales in dread and tension. Put them on your TBRs for this summer.

As Tommy prepares to attend a funeral on a cold, grey Blackpool day, the strangest thing happens - a circus arrives on the seafront. A surprisingly moving tale that tackles the true meaning of being alive, I devoured this novella in a couple of hours @jodierobins.bsky.social #booksky

Oh my gosh, this is so wonderful to read. Thank you! 💙💙
Another incredible addition to the northern weird project from @wildhuntbooks.bsky.social This was a dread inducing, grief filled tale of a father and a son. @jodierobins.bsky.social beautifully fleshed out the sadness and the lost hopes of these characters. I loved their journey! Out June 26 #books

Calling all #literaryagents!
A northern Literary Festival is looking for agents to present and do author one-to-ones.
The all-day event will be at Leeds Trinity University, Sat 6th Sept 2025.
It’s partly to fill the gap in the North of England now that #JerichoWriters have relocated to London.
