After being held in two of them as a boy, I fought for decades urging America to never again build concentration camps and put human beings in them. It breaks my heart to watch this happen twice now in my own lifetime.

So if the world built enough renewable power generation to power the US in the past 15 years, it seems reasonable that the US could easily be powered mostly by renewables in another 15 years. Very reasonable. Should be in 10.

Our system of legal political bribery is what is holding us back.

For "One First," I wrote about DOJ's unprecedented attempt to secretly strong-arm a widely respected district judge in the Cities Church protest case—and why everyone, especially other federal judges, should read Chief Judge Schiltz's two letters in response:

Every federal judge (and justice) should read the two letters from Chief Judge Patrick Schiltz in the church protest case—and what they tell us about the Department of Justice's litigation behavior.

Here in upstate New York, we are preparing for a few days of severe winter weather. First, cold temperatures and wind, followed by a significant snowstorm with over a foot (1/3 meter) of snow expected. The three of us have our supplies on board and expect to be in most of the weekend. I might make it to church for vigil on Saturday or might have to do online services.
