40 year anniversary of my workplace, the Modum Bad Research Institute.
Several prominent guests are present, and we are starting with a lecture by Professor Jaime Delgadillo. So important with his focus on and inclusion of sociodemographic and economic factors in personalised psychotherapy research:

Came home, where my beloved waited for me with homemade pizza and we watched a really fun 1991 movie. Then I slept 11h!

Some concluding remarks for long-distance train travel in Europe. Bring:

-20-30€ in cash & coins
-A lot of water&some food
-A book or two
-Sleeping gear (pillow, mask, ear plugs)

Sopot (PL) - Oslo (NO) by train, last, fifth leg of the journey.

Bus between Malmö and Oslo, which lasted 7.5h.

The trip was nice, I read a research paper about couple communication, took three naps and looked at some Mamdani videos.

Looking pretty shabby after this 33h voyage. Happy to be home!

Intermezzo: Malmö!

3h wait. Went for a lovely walk by the sea and in the castle park. Had a coffee. Bought some cashews & dried mango, sandwich and a protein bar for the last part of the trip.

Have been travelling for 26h now and I can feel it, but I’m also in a really good mood and home soon!

PL-NO by train. Fourth leg: Berlin-Malmö with Snälltoget night train.

Well, I’m alive?

Despite the comfortable window seat with a table to rest my pillow & head on, it was a trial. I was surrounded by teenagers on interrail, and we all know they don’t sleep much.

But! I do feel fine, good even.

Intermezzo: Berlin!

Second hands & walks in the rain & Vietnamese food. Ice cream with white chocolate and orange marmelade.

Always remember to carry 6€ for the luggage lockers, guys!

I love this city. ❤️

PL-NO by train, part 3.

Bus for train between Frankfurt (Oder) and Berlin Hbf. Because of my timeliness this morning I now have five hours in Berlin.

Later, the night train. My two previous times with Snälltoget were both bloody horrible and weirdly exhilarating at the same time.

PL-NO by train, part 2.

The first train (of five) was late, with a prospective two hour wait in Poznañ. While I did find some seemingly excellent breakfast spots, I was suprised when the second train waited! First time I have experienced that. So I ate on the Poznañ-Frankfurt (Oder) train instead:

Poland-Norway by train, part 1.

First leg is Sopot-Poznañ. I have already recieved a notice that my schedule Sopot-Berlin is no longer possible. That was a bit stressful, but also freed me to take any train today. So I took the 8 train to Poznañ, instead of the 10 train, just in case.

The presentation «Social Determinants as Predictors of Treatment Response in a Public Behavioral-Health Setting» by Jeremy Coleman was very interesting and contradicts previous research. >>Clients with low socioeconomic status improved FASTER.<<

Just finished this amazing book and I’m feeling a bit nostalgic for the time before postmodernism took it’s hold.

Maybe we should revive getting «back to the things themselves» with Husserl or thinking more about socioeconomic conditions, with Beauvoir & Sartre.
