As I wrote on Twitter, I'm sad to hear this, as I think Manchester Village Pride is still about commercial rather than community interests, but I respect your decision, and I guess I'll have to organise something myself if I want it.

The concept of it being run by a "not for profit" company is misleading, because it's being run by the Village businesses, so whilst the Pride org may make no money, it is VERY DEFINITELY being run for the profit of the VBA (Via/Two Brewers, NYNY, The Eagle, Bar Pop etc.)

Again, making spaces safe, making yourself safe when people threaten you etc is not about what's legal but about de-escalation and getting the fuck out of an unsafe situation. Toilet harassment can happen to anyone, being part of the community working against it can be done by anyone.
