I think that ChatGPT and other tools of its ilk will be transformative for certain uses (like your example).
But it’s general use for everything will often be damaging to the people using them, to the people with it foisted on, to the people whose creative work has been stolen and to our environment

I don’t think it is baffling: when we’re given the chance to vote on the values we most want in our society, but without consequences, we vote left.
When we’re voting on jobs, taxes, etc, many of us become conservative, fearing the left will bankrupt us

Exactly: he’s conflating a year of purchase of a device with that of a product/processor launch. I can buy, brand new and just-manufactured device today (from a tier 1 brand), but its processor or other components might first have hit the market more than 5 years ago
