It's quite terrible, but if you have credits just use them up while they are there. And regarding your question in the other comment: Audible doesn't allow you to set a release date, and it can take up to a few months to show up, so I don't have a clue when it'll be there yet.

I've researched this widely with multiple author groups. Brandon Sanderson has been battling this and allowed a few concessions from Audible, but even someone with his reach hasn't been able to shift the tides yet. He can sacrifice $100M and be fine, but smaller authors don't have that luxury.

Reading the Noss Saga books has revived my love for fantasy and reading, and has gotten me to read more in the past year than I have for the last 15 years combined. Thank you for such an amazing story and I'm looking forward to continuing the journey!

It's not easy at all to do it all while self-publishing, but don't let it keep you from writing. A huge chunk of the Noss Saga fans have switched to getting it direct from my site or other sites that aren't horrible like Audible.

Somewhat. I messed up but no one found out. When I put the stuff for sale a week ago, I forgot to turn the pre-order checkbox on both the audiobook and ebook, and they were on SALE sale for like 15 minutes. No one bought them, luckily. In that time period though, someone already bought a paperback.

Thanks! Self-pub authors who need to sell books to have money to eat are trapped, and most end up doing exclusivity with Audible and Kindle. It’s really really hard to sell widely. A lot more work, and due to the monopoly, the extra work pays off only a tiny fraction of the invested time.
