I really must subscribe. Zero chance of any of my family listening to the pod, none whatsoever. Don’t even listen to Radio 4. As an aside I vote for David as the new host of In Our Time.

Good pod. Not sure I entirely agree about Farage in Scotland. I still think his welfare would be at risk.

A new book!

I did jury duty once, a case of double rape. Pretty much a slam dunk. We have 15 people on a jury and one opted for the notorious Scottish verdict of not proven. It was. I was impressed that the jurors really seemed to pay close attention.

So bad it makes my head hurt.

I went into two different bookshops in my hometown looking for Dostoevsky’s White Nights. No luck. However within a couple of weeks you couldn’t move for copies of it.

This nonsense might fly in America.
