I have a poster that is a replica of one of those maps showing the “Old World” and “New World”. Not this exact one, but similar. Being a history buff, I’ve liked older maps and the amount of detail that would go into many of them.

From my collection: Dell Four Color issue 367 (1952). Contains the famous story “A Christmas for Shacktown”. Wonderful Carl Barks cover and story, which is a bit of a criticism of the materialism around that time of year and a lack of remembering the true meaning of Christmas.

He was tipped off by someone who worked at the BBC a few weeks before the master tapes were scheduled to be erased. The Pythons smuggled out the tapes and made copies, in case Terry couldn’t outright buy them.

It’s snowing today. Naturally, it had to happen on the day of a scheduled appointment of mine. Back in my apartment and felt like making some cocoa to warm up. Good times.
