This might be the dumbest fucking thing I’ve ever seen

Happy Halloween from a Rob Zombie’s HALLOWEEN II supporting household

Wild that nobody has capitalized on the Brat bibs from CAFE FLESH yet, the zeitgeist is finally ready for Sayadian.

Someone cool needs to get Charli to watch this.

I have been saying this a lot in 2025, but this is one of the best weeks of the year for new disc arrivals. Just an embarrassment of riches (again).

Went away for a few days and came home to this stack of new discs

What an absolute treasure Diane Keaton was. Her wit never tired, nor did her style.

Early in this conversation, Marty asked Jafar about the genesis of his interest in cinema, to which Jafar spoke about his search for God. He then said, “I didn’t find God in the skies, I found God in images” which is the most resonant, beautiful, description of cinephilia I’ve ever heard.

This CURSE OF FRANKENSTEIN set from Hammer is ridiculous. Six discs, 900+ minutes of material and two books.

Huge thanks to @variety.com for including me on the 2025 Horror Impact Report. I’ll be pinching myself for a long time over being here with so many incredible people, including being directly under the King himself.

Ken Jacobs was the first experimental filmmaker whose work I understood. Not necessarily because the work itself was more accessible but because he presented it as something that was for everyone and could be made by anyone. He, in various ways, democratized the avant garde in a way nobody else had.

We don’t, as a society, talk enough about this flurry of cameos in Casper (1995)
September 17, 2025 at 1:13 AM
Steelbook might be even worse 🤦‍♂️
September 16, 2025 at 8:40 PM
What are we even doing here? At best, this is some sort of misguided Saul Bass homage and at worst, well, it can’t get much worse.

Redford was one of the exceedingly rare filmmakers working in Hollywood that understood the power of quiet filmmaking.
September 16, 2025 at 12:48 PM
RIP to Robert Redford, one of the best to ever do it (and a dozen other things on top of that)

Here’s an excerpt from a 2017 interview that he did with Esquire, in which he discusses his career, the Trump presidency and a slew of other things all very articulately

Remember him for the work

We got Criterion 4K of Pee Wee’s Big Adventure before GTA 6

But, in all sincerity, this (and the new covert art) is very welcome.
