He's topped 85 innings in 4 of his 6 pro seasons.

The illogical part is even if he pitched 85 innings a year for the next 4 years at what he was in 2024 then that would be more valuable than one year of Ward.

It always blends with the sleep deprivation of finishing the BA Almanac...but it's a wonderful time.

Daniel Espino last year would have been a 60/X hypothetically. That doesnt mean his floor would have been a 40. His floor would have been "never pitches again."

But he has a 60 realistic outcome role. Just he had extreme risk of reaching that

A 60/Extreme is someone who has a reasonable path to being a 60. But the extreme risk means there are many of these players who will not be 60s.

But those outcomes will range from players who are 10s to 65s or 70s

No. The adjusted grade isnt designed to be a floor.

It is designed to rank players across different risk spectrum on likely outcomes

Yes, Kevin McGonigle played a few more games than Max Anderson, but Anderson topped him by 85 points in batting average, 109 points in OBP and 99 points in slugging. McGonigle is better defensively, but both are infielders. Anderson also had an 18-to-9 BB-K.
