I really want to get my hands on Silent Hill f at some point. It's enthralling by how good what I've seen of the game does. While I wish it involved the town, it still captures what makes the series fun. Perhaps, I can treat myself to it next month. It's available on @gog.com and that's awesome.

Sometimes it is like the world is moving in slow motion, and in other times, faster than light. The perception of time is wild to me. It almost feels like further evidence that it's relative. I realize time *is* relative, but my point is that it's a weird sensation to experience. It feels personal.

Oh, yay. It snowed last night. So long as I don't need to shovel yet, then it's not so bad. I wanted to do a drone run, but that's out of the question now. That's okay though. It's an excuse to stay in, light the fireplace, and have hot soup. This is a good day to just relax and unwind a little.

It's a bit of a chilly day here, so it might be prudent to make homemade soup. Either that, or thaw one I previously made in the freezer. Either is a viable option. I need to catch up on a couple of shows as well. Shame the new episode of The Mighty Nein isn't out until Wednesday. I need my fix. 🤣

I'm fully caught up with The Mighty Nein adaptation on Amazon, and I have to admit it. They did an excellent job with Campaign 2. It does change a fair bit, but it keeps the core of everything. I wish they'd keep with three episodes a week, but I get why not. It has me excited for the rest to come.

I finally got to start the released episodes of The Mighty Nein on Prime. It's wild to see the campaign finally adapted and I'm only one episode deep, but it's great so far. Surely, the other two are just as good. They've introduced one of my two favourite characters already. This will be fun. 😁

I just got more into Foolish Mortals recently, and @inklingwood.bsky.social did an amazing job on the game. It is a genuinely impressive experience and so far highly recommended. The indie scene never fails to impress with its point and click selection. That is such an encouraging thing to see.

I really just need this month to chill out. The constant appointments are getting a bit overwhelming. When I get home later, I'm going to treat myself to some homemade soup. That sounds really good right now. Fingers crossed that it stays relatively temperate out until I can get home.

It has been a really weird morning. I'm just glad I can at least be where it's warm. It maybe a good time to start using the fireplace soon. On the upside, I can make hot cocoa later. Hopefully, I can order my new glasses soon. I finally have a valid prescription for them.

i just read something about grief from C.S. Lewis and his book, “A Grief Observed”

basically, when someone you love dies, it isn’t just them that you miss, but the parts of yourself that person brought out of you that can never be brought out again.

i feel that with my dad.

It feels like we zoomed past Fall and right into winter. Every morning has come with snow. I used to like that, but years of shoveling it has made me less than enthusiastic about this time of year. Probably doesn't help that this is the first holiday season without dad around. It'll be six months.

I can be such a major dice goblin. Looking at my collection recently, and there are a lot of different sets there. Some really unique ones too. I'm always on the lookout for new sets to collect. I have a lovely Shadowrun themed one on the way. It can't arrive soon enough. I wish to roll them.

In the last week, I've had the COVID booster, the flu shot, my annual blood work, and I am completely drained. Today's shift is going to be full zombie mode. I'll do the bare minimum, but no sense overworking myself. If I can make it through this, then it's hot soup and cartoons for me. 😁😬🫩

I am so exhausted from errands today. I can't wait to get home. On the upside, at least I can enjoy the fresh air. That being said, home can't come soon enough. The weather is a bit frosty and a hot cocoa is calling my name. Maybe with some hot soup as well. 🙂

It is interesting when people make bards and fall back on musicians. While that is admittedly understandable, you can make one that uses any form of artistic expression as their outlet. Painting, poetry, and more are viable. I once had a bard that used limericks. It'd be nice to see that more often.
November 12, 2025 at 4:14 PM
I don't talk about this a lot, but art is a huge part of my life. I am an artist. Whether it's music, visual or literary art. It may sound silly, but that's how I express myself. Art is one of the greatest things one can create. It is uncompromising and unfiltered. Society should encourage the Arts.

If your game has voice acting, then working with the voice actors is half of your writing process. It's not complete until you've heard it interpreted and reimagined by a voice actor. And they always reimagine it in ways that elevate the writing, in ways you never would have imagined yourself.

I realize the importance of vaccines and boosters, but holy hell, do I feel like crap. I went from being an overabundance of energy to just crashing. Sadly, that doesn't come with sleep. Just lying there like a useless heap. Hopefully, this sensation passes soon. I really want to feel better.

I've been on a bit of a point and click adventure binge lately. Between returning to old classics from the LucasArts and Sierra On-line libraries to newer titles, it's been really enjoyable. I look forward to beginning @inklingwood.bsky.social's new title very soon. It's such a great style of game.

I really wish Shadowrun had point and click adventure games. There are a lot of stories within the universe that would work well. The Jimmy Kincaid series as an example. There are plenty of characters in those books that could warrant a game or two. Shame the rights are apparently a problem though.
