The bad guys of my midlife are a bad combination of Nazis, Cobra, and Slytherin. And not the "Saving Private Ryan" Nazis - some how we got the Hogan's Hero Nazis, and despite their utter incompetence, they're managing to ruin (and end) so many lives.

I'm a little bummed out with the timing of the Epstein e-mail dump. I wish it had happened earlier, because there are some consequences going on, but also, if it had been a month earlier, we could have gotten some great couples costumes.

Yesterday, between 9:30 AM and 5 PM, solar provided more than 50% of the energy in ERCOT. It's a low load, sunny, cool day, but we're getting there.

This is a draft chart, for ~2004 - ~2018 showing polluter reported emission events of Benzene (red), Toluene (blue), and Xylene (green). Contrasting events in Houston or Beaumont with Dallas, Austin, and San Antonio, some communities exist in a soup of carcinogens.

This is the same Bill Ackman that got all bent out of shape when Business Insider reported that his wife's PhD thesis had plagiarized other authors and lifted passages from wikipedia? We probably need to start looking at whether Neri Oxman is involved in the type of corruption Ackman raising here.

I like federal projects like this that will likely continue to need large parking based on who they serve (veterans from across a very large catchment area) and much less speculation:

I feel like he's trying to say (while quoting Trembath) that it's bad that climate hawkishness got tied to standing up for marginalized communities. Speaking out on climate issues is standing up for marginalized communities - people living in refinery shadows, floodzones, the future, etc.
