He’s not entirely wide of the mark, but he’s still talking largely out his arse - I’m fairly certain this was noted a lot about both books and films. I wrote this in 2012 and stand by it…

Has Matthew McConaughey considered…you know, just reading his words translated into Spanish? Or just speaking Spanish, which I’m pretty sure he already does?! Feels like a more genuine way to “reach and connect with even more people” as he puts it.

My hot take is that all popular modern browsers are bad. I prefer some feature sets over others, but they are all such resource hogs, and all have shortcomings. This feature has been added to Firefox (my normal browser on my personal machine), but it feels like something I shouldn't *have* to do.

I read the NYT ‘48 hours without AI’ article so you don’t have to. You can hold a memorial service for my withered brain cells if you like. I feel actively dumber after reading this. What is the point? Even if it was a comedy exercise it isn’t funny — and it’s over **3000** words…

Another day, another American media source with a video talking about “the English <XYZ>” (the Premier League in this case) and illustrating it with a UK flag, not an English one. Guys, I know complaints about this (especially from Scots) is old hat, but you’ve had *centuries* to get this right!

First in-person day at #LFF. Showed up after the first batch of press screenings had already begun and it was surprisingly, pleasantly calm and quiet (so far).

Recently finished Silo S2, and have been really enjoying it. In particular, the S2 finale is one of the most gripping episodes of TV I've watched in some time. Rebecca Ferguson is superb, as are Common, Tim Robbins & others. Some really effective visual work, impeccable SFX & production design.
