… are the only true guide to what any two individuals enjoy (and are capable of doing together). So: the more kids (of all sexes, but especially boys) are taught communication skills and to be comfortable with vulnerability, etc, the better their attitude toward & experiences with sex will be. Agreed - but also: that still doesn’t address the part about getting kids to be aware of how unrealistic (and now also straight up fake) most porn is. I don’t know the answer there, except to try and convey that at this point much of *all* of the internet is now fake. And that consensual IRL (1/2)

It’s like the Chief of Staff interview: they’re rubbing it in our faces (here, literally) that they don’t care that they know know what we think should be their downfall - by owning it (like Trump laughing off being called a fascist when Mamdani was next to him), they control the narrative.

BINGO. All the technical stuff posted above this comment, while true, just invites myriad openings for right-wing trolls to dive into the weeds arguing over details.
The same as with a pro-abortion stance that gets long-winded about different contexts and impacts, etc: It’s a woman’s body, period.

I was 25 then. And that’s when it hit me how odd it is that we elect state Supreme Court justices (for limited terms), but do not elect federal Supreme Court justices (for lifetime terms).

AKA work lunch — RUN, Run back to the office from the grocery store! There’s a meeting starting at 1:00 and you forgot it was your turn to facilitate. [Dear reader, t’was me: the guy who thought he could take just ONE damn minute to film the dirty, foamy high tide for mysterious creative purposes]

Maybe I get so absorbed in movies that I simply don’t notice such behavior near me? But if people were using their phones l, I’d see the screens light up 🤔 Also, as to the demographic stereotypes, are those really true? My kids are teens (16 & 19) & they never look at their phones during films (1/2)

… of course, many old and new films on my tv at home. Where I live, I never hear/observe other theater goers being loud/rude. And if I eat in a theater, it’s just snacks I’ve brought in. I love the communal experience of taking in big audio-visual stories and that’s not available at home (2/2)

I’m at the other end of the spectrum: a hardcore cinephile. This year, I saw One Battle After Another three times in the theater, Weapons three times in the theater, Sinners twice in the theater, and many by other films once (at both the corporate chain and local art house cinema). Plus (1/2)
