What Even “is” a centrist anyway? I feel that like “neoliberal,” it’s now a word people use to mean “anything I don’t like about that person is centrist” rather than something related to a consistent worldview.

The whole film deserved better at last year's awards. A number of Extremely Online critics derided the film as Zionist propaganda because blah blah blah Gaza. It really made me sick.

That's a good point. I would have nominated him for Best Actor last year but Paramount pushed him as supporting.

I loved Omaha! It was a great showcase for its director, Cole Webley, and another great performance from Margaro. He was great with the two kids.

It reminded me of Eddington in that nobody played a fully dimensional human being, they were all playing "attitudes" meant to represent one side of an issue but with no accounting for how their background would inform the way they approached it.

Astin should have won for ROTK. And Serkis should have at the very least been nominated for Two Towers. If anything he's a great candidate for an honorary Oscar.
